A non-competitive, creative environment

We aim to provide an encouraging, inclusive environment where children can develop creativity, expression and confidence – but always at their own pace.

Art education with art-K includes drawing, painting and 3D modelling, with all students given the freedom to pursue their own set of skills and interests.

We have studios in Bristol and across the UK, led by fully trained and experienced teachers.

For GCSE and A Level classes, find out more here.

Our teachers are fully trained, focused on their students’ development.

Teachers are trained on the art-K programme, as well as on health and safety and safeguarding (and much more!) They are professional, kind and caring. We never have more than 7 students to 1 teacher and all staff are DBS checked.

Art education has been our focus for over 20 years!

We’ve tried and tested many different programmes before arriving at the one we teach today. Our projects teach artistic skills, whilst encouraging students to bring their individuality to the classes. If you look at our social media pages you’ll get a flavour of how one project can be done in a variety of different ways.  We enjoy teaching over 3000 students per week with our personalised approach.

art-K’s programme is broad and varied, using high quality materials.

Currently, we teach: acrylics, watercolour, inks, clay, pastels on surfaces like canvases, cartridge paper and more.

Our branded products are all included in our classes; there are no hidden costs. Not all mediums wash out, so please ensure your children wear appropriate clothes for art.

We have received multiple awards for our art classes.

Awards include the Young Innovator award from CVC, SME News Community Art Club of the Year and Most Innovative Art & Crafts Class Provider.

We have also had the privilege to raise awareness about the importance that Art has on mental health, with ITV News, and have been featured on BBC Radio London to talk about the benefits of art.

Kathryn

Meet the founder

Kathryn spent her life practicing art; drawing on every piece of paper she could get her hands on. She also wanted to have a career working with children, leading her to pursue Speech and Language Therapy at University (although some of her University interviewers were a bit taken aback when Kathryn asked if there was an art option during the course!)….
