All our projects are great with colouring pencils or paints- whatever you want to start with! If you’d like to purchase materials, we provide a list of our recommendations. 

6 – 9 year old course

We have an exciting range of subjects (including lots of animals 😍) for our 6-9 year olds to draw, paint or even model from clay. From queens to dragons, your kids will follow our clear instructions to create their own magical masterpieces.

£10 per month

This course includes the following mediums:

  • Pencil drawing – developing fine motor control, learning through patterns and shapes.
  • Watercolour – learning to blend and applying colour theory. 
  • Clay & papier mâché – developing spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination. 
  • Acrylic – learning to blend in a more challenging medium as well as attention to detail and control.

9 – 11 year old course

For 9 – 11 year olds, we delve further into our imaginations and build on design, shape and colour theory. From illustrative (friendly) monsters to creating underwater creatures, we will take your children step-by-step through each project in real-time and help them develop on their artistic journey 🎨

£10 per month

This course includes the following mediums:

  • Pencil drawing – improving fine motor control, creating complex patterns, form and shapes.
  • Watercolour – learning new techniques with salt and crayons. 
  • Clay & papier mâché – improving spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination. 
  • Acrylic – building technical skills by learning to control the medium as well as experimental pouring techniques (two complete opposites!

11 – 12 year old course

For 11 – 12 years, we start to build further on concepts such as perspective, design, tone and proportions. We do this in an engaging and colourful way to ensure that children are learning whilst having fun. For example, we teach perspective through cubist still life and tonal values through drawing safari animals 🐘 We’re here to support and guide your children every step of the way.

This course includes the following mediums:

  • Graphite – learning different shading techniques and applying these to natural forms like flowers, tree roots, animals. 
  • Watercolour – learning experimental techniques as well as how to use them in an illustrative way to build characters.
  • Clay & papier mâché – building 3D objects by sculpting and manipulating the material.
  • Acrylic – building technical skills and look at key artists and learn how they’ve created their style. 
  • Gouache – learn how to use the medium and apply this to an illustrative style.

12 – 14 year old course

At 12-14 years, we really focus on building on important techniques such as portraiture (which are useful for GCSE) and encourage pupils to create their own, unique pieces of artwork. We do this by introducing topics; you can paint along with us, side-by-side, or you can create your own piece of artwork using the project’s structure. Topics include sustainability, lichen tree collage and more 🌴

This course includes the following mediums:

  • Graphite – learning different shading techniques and applying these to natural forms and portraits. 
  • Watercolour – doing artist studies to understand different styles and learning experimental techniques which can be applied to other personal projects.
  • Clay & papier mâché – building 3D objects by sculpting and manipulating the material.
  • Acrylic – improving and refining technical skills and learning how to approach a topic project. 
  • Gouache – learning the 2 methods possible to create a colour grid and applying these in tonal studies.

Adult course

For adults, we have given you the freedom of choice. You can paint alongside us in real-time or you can speed up the video to gain an idea of the technique and structure before doing your own piece of artwork. We’ve varied the projects from floral sunflowers to portraits to collage. Set some time aside and just focus on you for an hour ✏️ and by the end of each project you’ll be amazed at what you’ve created, feeling relaxed and inspired. 

£10 per month

This course includes the following mediums:

  • Graphite – learning different shading techniques and applying these to natural forms and Renaissance artists. 
  • Watercolour – learning different artists’ approaches to styles and experimenting with these learnt techniques. 
  • Clay – building 3D objects by sculpting and manipulating the material. Use household objects to help!
  • Acrylic – using project topics to create a surreal piece of artwork, using a structured approach and method.
  • Portraits – although not a medium, it’s a very important and widely studied topic so in this section you’ll be able to learn how to use many different mediums (pen, watercolour, ink, acrylic…) to create a portrait. Draw on ideas and apply to your own personal projects.
  • Gouache – learning the 2 methods possible to create a colour grid and applying these in tonal studies.
