Young Artists
A brand new art class for children aged 5-6, blending storytelling and creativity to strengthen fine motor skills through art.
Now running at select studios!
Shorter sessions, big creativity
A creative course designed especially for 5–6-year-olds. Each session is between 40–45 minutes and helps children express themselves through drawing and colour.
Storytelling meets art
Every class involves a story! Children recreate it through parallel drawing: drawing step by step alongside their teacher to build fine motor skills, coordination, and visual memory.
Explore new materials
As the course progresses, students experiment with watercolours and 3D clay, learning about colour sorting, matching, and mixing through imaginative, hands-on projects.
Art as a first language
At this age, art is how children communicate before words fully catch up. Our Young Artists classes nurture that creativity and help every child grow in confidence.

About Our Young Artists Classes
• Weekly 40–45 minute sessions
• Small class sizes for individual attention
• Storytelling, drawing, and creative projects in more mediums as the course progresses.
• Suitable for children ages 5–6
Six-year-olds are welcome to join either our Young Artists (5–6) course or the Children’s Art Classes (6–16).
The Young Artists sessions focus on storytelling and creative development, while the Children’s Art Classes build technical art skills for those beginning to draw more realistically. If you’re unsure which is best, contact your studio — our teachers are happy to help!
What the Research Shows
Research art-K commissioned by Yougov found that 77% of teachers have witnessed a worsening in pupils’ ability to perform precise movements such as holding a pencil, drawing, writing, or using scissors, since early 2020.
In response to this growing need, we’ve created this new class focused on developing both core artistic skills—appropriate to the student’s age—and imaginative abilities that support cognitive development.
